1. TheWorldWritesABook.com ("TWWAB") reserves all editorial discretion and copyrights.
2. TWWAB is not affiliated or sponsored in any way with, or by, Twitter.com, Facebook.com or their affiliates.
3. TWWAB reserves the right to modify, alter, or change any accepted snippet should it be necessary for the story flow, or otherwise. However, regardless of any such modifications, alterations, or changes to a snippet, the original contributor will still receive credit for that submitted snippet.
4. TWWAB further reserves the right to use more than one snippet submitted on any particular day. However, each contributor of those snippets will receive credit for the snippets which are used for the story, regardless of the number of snippets used on each day.
5. Any and all rights associated with TWWAB, and any and all rights to any finished or unfinished work arising out of this project, including, but not limited to any and all rights anywhere in the world, in perpetuity, for publishing, broadcasting, distribution, publicity, advertising, electronic, copyrights, or trademarks, shall be the sole and exclusive property of TWWAB. Each and every person who submits a "snippet", or other contribution, to be considered for inclusion into any unfinished or finished work associated with the TWWAB website, agrees to waive, relinquish, and give up, immediately upon making said submission, any and all rights to that snippet, or other contribution, whether or not their snippet or contribution is accepted for inclusion in the unfinished or finished work, and further agrees that any such "snippets" or other contribution, will, upon submission, immediately become the sole and exclusive property of TWWAB.
6. Each and every person who submits a "snippet", or other contribution, to be considered for inclusion into any unfinished or finished work associated with the TWWAB website, whether or not the snippet or contribution is included as part of the work, agrees that he or she will receive no compensation whatsoever for said contribution, other than a credit for partial authorship (assuming that his or her snippet or contribution is accepted for inclusion in the work), along with the possibility of receiving up to $25,000, payable to the sole individual who submitted the greatest number of accepted entries, as detailed below.
7. The payment of the $25,000 Grand Prize is not guaranteed, nor is any other payment of any kind guaranteed from TWWAB, or others. The payment of the Grand Prize, if any, will be based upon the success of any attempts to market the finished work, and the full execution of any contracts with third parties with regard to compensation for the rights to any portion of the finished product. TWWAB shall have the sole and exclusive right to make determinations with regard to the payment of the Grand Prize, and all such determinations will be final. In the event of a tie, the Grand Prize payment, if any, will be split evenly among all participants who tied for the greatest number of accepted entries.
8. TWWAB will make every reasonable effort to keep accurate track of the rankings for accepted entries. However, should a particular entrant use different names to make his or her submissions, or should some other situation arise which is outside of TWWAB's control, TWWAB will not be responsible for any inaccuracies as a result.
